OSAGE, IOWA - Imogene Love Mallow, age 79, of Osage, died on Wednesday, September 3, 2003, at the Muse Norris Hospice Unit in Mason City.

Imogene was born on October 15, 1923, in Orchard, the daughter of John and Marion (Crawford) Love. She was educated in the Orchard School and graduated from Osage High School.

Imogene served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Imogene was united in marriage to Giles L. Mallow on June 14, 1946 in Osage. She was a homemaker and mother.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage with the Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Inurnment will be in the Osage Cemetery with a flag presentation by V.F.W. Post 7920 and American Legion Post 278.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice of North Iowa or Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one son, Charles (Kathryn) Mallow of Oconomowoc, Wis., and their two daughters, Kristen Mallow of Oconomowoc, Wis., and Adele Mallow Spears (Matt) and their children Tayla and Rhiannon of Bloomington, Minn., and a son, Christopher (Becky) Mallow of Gillette, Wyo.; four daughters, Claudia Deaton and her son, Drake, of St. Ansgar, Constance Litzel (John) of Ames and their daughter, Elizabeth, and her daughter, Isabelle, of Ames, Crystal Darrow (Gregory) of Bartlett, Ill. and Carolyn Cowell (Marty) of Denver, Iowa and their children, Morgan, Mason Giles, and Marshall; one sister, Mary Morey of Osage.

She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Giles L. Mallow on April 23, 2003; two brothers, James and Burchard Love; and one sister, Ruth Bilharz.
