OSAGE, IOWA — Veronica “Ronnie” Salz-Miller, 79, of Osage, died Friday (Aug. 8, 2003) at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, with the Rev. Mark Reasoner officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Osage. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, with a Scripture wake service at 6 p.m.
Veronica was born on March 27, 1924, near Stacy-ville, the daughter of John Salz Jr. and Anna (Wiesbrock).
She married Hans Miller on Nov. 10, 1972, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville. They farmed west of Stacyville. Following his death in 1982, Veronica moved back to Osage. She retired from the Osage office of the ASCS.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Osage VFW Auxiliary. Veronica enjoyed travel and bowling, (she won many bowling events).
She is survived by a brother, John Salz and his wife, Arlene, of Mason City; three sisters, Marie Walsh and her husband, Glen, of Stacyville, Frances Kratoska of Evansdale, and Joanne Toye of Osage; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hans in 1982; three brothers, Al, Norbert and Art Salz; and one sister, Germaine Albrecht.
