MEYER, IOWA - Taylor John Koenigs, 9, of Meyer, died Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) in McIntire, Mitchell county, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meyer, with the Rev. Mark Reasoner officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meyer.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with a 3 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. prayer service.
Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home of St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements.
Taylor was born on January 12, 1994 in Austin, Minn., to Mark and Sindee (Hockens) Koenigs. He attended St. Ansgar Elementary School in the third grade. Taylor enjoyed school and his teachers.
Taylor enjoyed playing with his dog, Ruby and riding his go-kart. Taylor liked to go fishing with his Dad. He brought happiness to everyone he knew.
Taylor enjoyed playing with his cousins and loved spending time with all of his family.
Taylor will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and other relatives.
Taylor was preceded in death by his brother, Casey; and three cousins.
He is survived by his parents; one sister, Angela Koenigs, of Stevens Point, Wis.; maternal grandparents, Florence and Al Holmen, of Austin, Minn., paternal grandparents, Deo and Joan Koenigs, of St. Ansgar; paternal great-grandmother, Marie Koenigs, of Stacyville.
