RICEVILLE, IOWA -- Joseph Lorence, 74, of Riceville, died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 1995) at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Conway Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Lovejoy officiating. Burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery at Orchard, Mitchell county, Iowa. Military rites will be performed by American Legion Post of Riceville. Visitation is two hours prior to services at the Conway Funeral Home.
Joseph Lorence was born Feb. 28, 1921, in St. Ansgar, Mitchell County, Iowa.
Survivors include one son, William Scott Lorence of Molean, Va.; three daughters, Anne Maureen Lorence of Tulsa, Okla.; Denise Doreen Pearson of Aurora, Colo., and Janet Lorraine Wietz,
of Aurora, Colo.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Clem Lorence of Mitchell; Stanley Lorence of Portsmouth, R.I., and Carl Lorence of Osage; and two sisters, Mary Lorence, Osage, and Bessie Gunther of Kansas City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and an infant sister.
