Clara Augusta Helena Kroneman Ones

Clara H. Ones, age 90, of Osage, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2009, at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, 3269 Foothill Avenue, Osage, with the Rev. R. Dawson Tornes officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage and will continue one hour before services at the church.

Clara Augusta Helena Kroneman was born to Emil and Maria (Neuman) Kroneman on August 19, 1918, in Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa. She was baptized September 8, 1918, by Pastor W. Reinecke at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Township. She was instructed in the Lutheran Faith by Pastor C.J. Kumpf at St. John's Lutheran Church and was confirmed on March 20, 1932. Clara received her elementary education at Rock No. 6 rural school. She was active in her church, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir.

On November 20, 1949, Clara was united in marriage to Justin Ones at St. John's Lutheran by Pastor Fred Ide. They were blessed with two sons, Jerry and Laird. After her marriage, she became a member of Rock Creek Lutheran Church in Meroa, where she was active in church women's organizations and Lutheran World Relief projects. Clara loved crafts, gardening, flowers, and doing woodworking projects with Justin.

Survivors include her son, Laird Ones of Osage; three grandchildren, Angie Ones and friend, Daniel Mortensen, of Frederic, Wisconsin, Jessica Tollander and husband, Ryan, of Siren, Wisconsin, Jeremy Ones and wife, Renee, of Frederic, Wisconsin; seven great-grandchildren, Jaryd and Jori Braden, Macy, Morgan, and Kylie Tollander, Benjamin and Lydia Ones; two brothers, Lloyd Kroneman of Grafton, Glen Kroneman and wife, Delores, of Carpenter; and sisters-in-law, Twila Kroneman of Osage, and Betty Kroneman of St. Ansgar.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Justin Ones; her son, Jerry Ones; three sisters, Laura Wilde, Myrtle Miller, and Grace Tabbert; and three brothers, Alvin Kroneman, George Kroneman, and Rueben Kroneman.
