LYLE, MINNESOTA -- Mildred I. Parmenter, 77, a Lyle homemaker, died Friday (Dec. 10, 1993) at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Mildred I. Lundene was born Dec. 4, 1916, in Rudd Township, Floyd County, Iowa, grew up in the area and graduated from high school in Otranto, Iowa. On Nov. 1, 1948, she married Russell C. Parmenter in Northfield, Minn.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lyle and was active in its women's organizations.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen of Loretto, Minn., and Douglas of Austin; four grandchildren; and five sisters, Adeline Crane of Lake Mills, Iowa, Clarice Anderson of Barneveld, Wis., Violet (Mrs. Carl) Rowe of Owatonna, Dorothy Anderson of Austin and Betty (Mrs. Rueben) Kroneman of Grafton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and a brother.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church here, with the Rev. Harold Luecke officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery in Rose Creek.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin and an hour before the service at the church.
