Funeral services were held Saturday for John H. Morische, 64, lifelong resident of Floyd and Mitchell counties, who died last Wednesday. The Rev. Martin Russert was in charge of the services at St. John's Lutheran church south of Osage. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

John Henry Morische was born October 29, 1893 in Floyd county, the son of Mrs. and Mrs. Albert Henry Morische. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith November 19,1893 and was confirmed on March 4, 1909, by the Rev. Frederick Schuehard of Rockford, Iowa.

He was married February 18, 1925 at St. John's Lutheran church to Emma Dieterichs. They lived all of their married life in their home community. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, having served as deacon and treasurer, and also on various boards and committees.

He leaves his wife, Emma, one son, Vern Morische of Rudd, and one daughter, Mrs. William Troge of Osage; three granddaughters; five sisters and brothers: Sophie and Mamie Morische of Osage; Mrs. Elsie Troge of Charles City; Elmer of Rudd; and Mrs. Luella Hartwig of Osage.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers and sisters.
