Mrs. Louisa [Minna] Kronemann, nee Vedder, widow of the late Mr. Wm. Kronemann, was born in the Province of Pommern, Germany, August 2, 1857. At the age of 21 she came alone to this country. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, to which she remained true throughout her life.
On February 22, 1883, she was united in marriage with Mr. Wm. Kronemann. She labored with her husband in making their living on farms in Rock township. Since the death of her husband (11 years ago) she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Otto Steinberg.
She was a kind Christian mother and a faithful member of her church.
During the past six years she was afflicted with diabetes and from last summer on she was troubled with a weak heart, which brought about a heart attack and she died this last Friday.
Our departed one is survived by two sons, Paul and Arthur Kronemann; three daughters: Mrs. Herman Schuttler, Mrs. Carl Dieterichs and Mrs. Otto Steinberg; two brothers and one sister in Germany, and one brother in Hankinson, North Dakota, and 16 grandchildren. Her husband and an infant daughter preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kronemann reached the age of 74 years, 8 months, and 27 days. Blessed are the dead who died in the Lord.
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Rock Creek Lutheran church, the Rev. Kumpf officiating. Burial was in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Present from a distance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Vedder of Hankinson, N.D., and a number of relatives from Osage and Toeterville.
