Fannie Amelia Proebstin was born at Osage, Iowa, April 10, 1863 and died at her home in Westgate, Monday, Nov. 19, 1900, making her at the time of her death 37 years, 7 months and 9 days old.
About 12 years ago she united with the Congregatioal church of Osage, of which she remained a member until Nov. 2, 1890, when she united by letter with the Congregational church at Riceville.April 18, 1895, she transferred her membership to the M.E. church of Westgate.
Jan. 1st, 1889, she was united in marriage to Wm. Schoonmaker of Riceville where they resided until 1891, when they moved to Westgate, Ia., which has since been their home.
Three children were born to them, Harry E., Guy D. and an infant son whose death preceeded hers by a few short hours only.
Besides the husband and two sons, she leaves a father, two sisters and two brothers, who with a large circle of relatives and friends deeply mourn her loss.
A faithful devoted wife, a loving, tender mother, sister, daughter and friend she has entered into the rest and peace of the life beyond.
