Ingeborg Thostenrud
Ingeborg Thostenrud was born in Signal, Norway February 27, 1821 and died at her home in Rock Creek Feb. 28, 1904.
At her home in Norway, 1854, she was united in marriage to Lars Thostenrud. In 1861,they emigrated to the United States and settled in Winneshiek county near Decorah where they resided a few years, when they moved to Mitchell county where they have lived ever since.
Four of her children have gone before. Her husband and three children survive her. These are Gale Thostenrud, of Elsworth, Rock county, Minn.; Mrs M. Skutle of Thompson, Iowa; and Lorine who is at home. Also fifteen grand-children and one great-grandchild.
The funeral service was held at the Rock Creek Church Tuesday afternoon, March 1st conducted by Rev. Unress, and the earthly remains were laid to rest in the Rock Creek cemetary.
