Daniel E. Neuman, 65, of Eureka, Iowa, died on Thursday July 17, 2008 at Brendan House in Kalispell, Flathead county, Montana, from natural causes.

Daniel was born on August 20, 1942 in Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, to Daniel G. & Hazel (Innis) Neuman. He grew up and attended school in St. Ansgar, Iowa. He graduated from St. Ansgar High School with the class of 1960. He entered the US Marine Corps in 1960 and served for 4 years.

He married Shari Doerkson in Portland, Oregon in October of 1965. They moved to Eureka in 1972. Shari preceded him in death in 1974. He worked for the Forest Service for over 30 years. He retired in 1998. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, bird hunting, and the out-of-doors.

Survivors include children Matt Neuman of Montana; Bryan Neuman of Florence, Montana; K. C. Woolard & husband Brett of Aurora, Colorado; Robyn Holder of Perth, Australia; Derek Clark of Eureka; grandchildren Ashlee Holder, Mikayla Neuman, Kassandra Neuman, Keegan Neuman, Madison Neuman, Ellia Woolard, Kaden Glenn; companion & friend Janis Neuman of Eureka; brother Robert Neuman of Iowa; sisters Lucille Simkins of Oregon; Margaret Simkins of Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
