(Osage News - March 6, 1902)

Sarah Egan was born at Olive Green, Ohio, June 20, 1856, and died at her home near Osage, February 27,1902.

In January, 1882, she was united in marriage to Alfred Gleason, and they have since resided on their farm about seven miles north of Osage, in Mitchell township. To them five children were born, three boys and two girls.

She was buried Saturday, March 1, the funeral services being held at the Catholic church, Rev. Father Martin conducting the last sad rites.

Deceased was a devout member of the Catholic church, and was a kind and loving wife and mother, who will be sadly missed by the bereaved father and children.

About a month ago she was taken to Rochester, Minn., by the request of her attending physician, Dr. Chas. Egan. No encouragement was offered there where her case was pronounced to be chronic Bright's disease. Her death came as a sudden and unexpected blow to the family as well to all her relatives and friends.
