Merrick, Mary Alice (Frein), a longtime resident of Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa, passed away peacefully at the age of 86, on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at St. Anthony Park Home, St. Paul, Minnesota. A private memorial service will be held in St. Paul on Saturday, May 17, 2008.

She was preceded in death by Chris, her husband of 52 years.

Mary is survived by children, Phyllis (Dan) Hollihan, St. Paul, Minn., Diana Harvey, Estero, Fla., Jerry (Mona) Merrick, Dubuque, Iowa, Rick (Ann) Merrick, Apple Valley, Minn., Steve (Diane) Merrick, Stewart-ville, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob, Osage, Marvin, Minneapolis, Minn.; sister, Pat Ahrens (Don), Mason City, Iowa; and four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Frein, Arlene Frein, Elaine Frein, Garner, Iowa, and Alice Frein, Des Moines, Iowa.
