Roberta "Bobby" Olsen 70, died Thursday, March 6, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota. Private family graveside services will be held in the Liberty Cemetery, Little Cedar, Mitchell County, Iowa.
Roberta Hanson was born July 28, 1937, in Armstrong, Iowa, the daughter of Verle and Mary (Lester) Hanson. She attended Armstrong Community Schools. Bobby worked for the Hanford Hotel, Jefferson Elementary School in food service and Carroll George Co. She enjoyed attending the Methodist Church in Osage, Iowa.
Bobby is survived by her children Brad (Patti) Peterson, Mason City, Shane (Karry) Graney, Mason City, daughter-in-law Lee Peterson, Cottage Grove, WI, grandchildren Matthew, Abbey and Whitney Peterson, Zachary and Madison Graney and Andrew Peterson, sister Norma Laughery, Lone Rock, Wisc., companion Mike Weipert, Osage, along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Verle and Mary Hanson, son Steven Peterson, husbands, Mike "Mick" Penney and Jon Olsen.
Arrangements were by Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 641-423-2372.
