RAPP
Mrs. Mary Rapp was born at Sharon, Conn. and died at Osage, Iowa, on May 5, 1920. She was married April 21, 1920* to Frederick Rapp--a war bride, her husband leaving for the Civil war the day after their wedding. She worked all through the war, doing service similar to our modern Red Cross work. At the close of the war, they decided to come west, and, with their little adopted son, moved to Illinois in 1871. Later they moved to St. Ansgar, and finally to Osage. Since her husband's death she has kept the home and lived alone up till the past year. She was then taken to the home of Miss Mary Kas, who has given her loving and faithful care.
One son, George, survives and he is so ill in a hospital that he could not possibly be here.
Funeral services were held last Thursday at the cemetery chapel, and she was laid to rest in the Osage cemetery.
