Bradley Joseph Blake, age 40, of Stacyville, died Sunday, January 20, 2008, of injuries he received in a snowmobile accident near Stacyville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at the Sacred Heart Oratory in Meyer, with Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meyer.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Oratory in Meyer with a scripture wake service at 4:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before services at the church.

Brad was born August 18, 1967, at Osage, Iowa, the son of Larry and Joanne (Olson) Blake. He graduated from Osage High School in 1986. Brad was a farmer and self-employed grain trucker. He enjoyed camping, hunting, car racing, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Brad is survived by his life partner, Nancy Wontorski of Stacyville; two sons, Corben and Billy at home; two daughters, Miranda and Erin Houdek; his parents, Larry and Joanne Blake of Stacyville; two sisters, LuAnn (Jerry) Miller of Pine Island, Minnesota, Sheila Blake of Rochester, Minnesota; two brothers, Jim Blake of Stacyville, Curt (Jill) Blake of Indianola; his paternal grandmother, Theresa Blake of Stacyville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Corbin Blake; and his maternal grandparents, Richard and Armeda Olson.

Arrangements made by Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage.
