JOHNS.
Alfred Johns, son of Thomas and Angeline Johns, was born March 28, 1881, and died as a result of an injury in the mine while at work on December 18, 1907, at Trinidad, Colorado, aged 26 years, 9 months.
He was the sixth of a family of eight. Two years ago, the family was bereaved of a daughter and sister, who died in the bloom of young womanhood; those who are still among us, five brothers, Edward, Willis and Roy of Osage, Earnest, of Potluth, N.D., Lucius, who is in the hosptial at Des Moines, George, of Moville, N.D., and Mrs. Ed Cooper of Moville, N.D.
Besides these, the mother and father are in the bereavement of this hour. The funeral was held on Thursday at 2:30 from the residence of his mother on West Main street, conducted by F. P.
Shaffer and interment was made at Osage Cemetery.
