HANSON

Saturday afternoon the community was startled by the report of the death of P. M. Hanson who only that morning was in apparently his usual good health.

Mr. Hanson was helping to move a box at his home on North Seventh street and evidently broke a blood vessel by the extra exertion from the effects of which he died a few hours afterwards.

Peter Martin Hanson was born in Denmark, September 28, 1851, and died at his home in Osage, Iowa, December 28, 1907.

He came to Iowa thirty-six years previous to his death and resided near St. Ansgar. He was united in marriage to Sine Christenson on July 8, 1876. About seventeen years ago he with his famiy moved to Owatonna, Minn., where they resided for fifteen years and then moved back to Iowa coming to this city.

Short funeral services, conducted by Rev. Jones of Cedar Falls, a former pastor of the family at Owatonna where funeral services were held Tuesday morning and the body was laid to rest by the side of six children who have gone before.
Mr. Hanson leaves a wife and three children Emma, William and Mae beside many friends to mourn his loss.

During his two years, residence in this city Mr. Hanson has by his buiness intregity and kindly spirit won for himself a host of friends, who were greatly shocked by his sudden death.

The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement. Mr. Hanson was a member of the Baptist church, and his life was consistent with the teachings of the Christ who has called him home.
