Eileen M. Whalen, age 86, of Northwood, Iowa, and formerly of Osage, Mitchell County, Iowa, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, December 1, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Msgr. Stanley Hayek officiating. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Osage.

Eileen was born on December 14, 1920 near Cresco, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Geneva (Cummings) McGee.

Eileen is survived by five daughters, three sons, 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters, and two brothers.
