Death of J. W. McCulla.
J.W. McCulla, of St. Ansgar, passed away, Thursday morning, April 1, 1897, aged 53 years, 5 months and 7 days.**
He came with his father's family from Canada to Iowa 1n 1863, and was married September 15, 1868 to Miss Ruth Humphreys. He had been a member of the M.E. church for 17 years and died in the full assurance of faith in God and hope of eternal life through Christ the Lord. His last illness lasted but a few days.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 3, by Rev. Cummings assisted by Rev. E.D. Hall, of Mitchell. The good wife and three children will greatly miss the stay and support of the husband and father, but they do not mourn as those who have no hope.
