Olive M. Borchardt, 89, and formerly of Osage, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at the Heritage Care Center in Mason City, Iowa. Funeral services were held on Friday, September 7, 2007, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1921 317th Street, southwest of Osage, with Pastor Byron Northwick officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Township.

Olive Johnson was born May 2, 1918, in Floyd County, Iowa, the daughter of Ole "O.J." and Marie (Beagles) Johnson. She married Raymond Borchardt on February 25, 1941. They farmed for 65 years. Olive was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the L.W.M.L. She enjoyed gardening, wood carving, and baking.

Olive is survived by her husband, Raymond Borchardt of Mason City; two sons, Paul (Paula) Borchardt of Amarillo, Texas, Dennis (Kathy) Borchardt of Mason City; one daughter, Barbara (Richard) Courte of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Louis Johnson; and two sisters, Marie Johnson, and Lola Brandau.

Arrangements were by Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, (641)732-3706.
