Ardelle Elizabeth King, age 95, of Providence Utah, and formerly of Adams, Minnesota, died on August 20, 2007, in Providence, Utah.
Ardelle was born on January 16, 1912, to John Peter and Catherine Emma (Winkels) King in McIntire, Iowa. She grew up on a farm near Adams and lived her young adult life mostly in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1952 Ardelle moved to Los Angeles, California, where she worked as an executive secretary for the Santa Fe Railway Company until her retirement.
Ardelle lived in Providence, Utah for the past six years, near her son and his family.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary Michael and Tie Geng Meunier; two granddaughters, Mira Ardelle Meunier and Kara Hua Meunier.
She is preceded in death by her parents; by her three brothers: Alexander, Alfred, and Henry; and by two sisters, Leonarda and Julia.
A memorial mass was celebrated on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Adams, with Father James Seitz officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, in Austin, Minnesota.
