Mrs. Mary Thome, 84, Dies; Services Held Wednesday.
Mrs. Mary Thome was born August 31, 1871 in Germany to Mr. and Mrs. John Hagedorn. At the age of 9 months her parents came to the United States and lived in St. Louis and later moved to Minnesota.
On November 24, 1891 she was united in marriage to Joseph [John] A. Thome of Minneapolis. To this union six children were born.
Mrs. Mary Thome, age 84, died Monday morning, June 18, 1956, at the home of her daughter (Clara), Mrs. Ernest Adams at Stacyville, Iowa. Funeral services were held at Visitation Church, Stacyville, June 20, 1956. Burial was in Visitation cemetery.
She is survived by six children: Will, Carl, Arthur, and Mrs. Rose Cooklock, all of Minneapolis; (Lucy) Mrs. Al Adams Chicago; (Clara) Mrs. Ernest Adams, Stacyville. Also 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died 25 years ago, also several brothers and sisters and her parents.
