William F. Cooper, age 78, passed away on January 29, 2007, at the Osage Hospital, Osage, Iowa.

Bill was born April 3, 1928, near Little Cedar, Iowa, to Frank and Ida (Jenkins) Cooper. He graduated from Little Cedar High School and farmed with his dad for many years. He married Delores Gemaelich on June 17, 1951, and they later divorced.

In 1965 Bill and his family moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where he worked for Benson Manufacturing and for TWA Airlines. In April of 1977, he married Barbara Austin. After retiring from TWA, he worked at part time jobs until moving back to Osage in November of 1996. He worked part time at Food Pride in Osage. Later, Bill and Barbara were divorced.

Bill loved family and friends, and enjoyed getting together with them as often as possible. His hobby was gardening and sharing the produce with others. His pride and joy were his children and great-grandchildren.

Bill is survived by five children: Dean (Vickie) Cooper and Lynn Cooper, of Raytown, Missouri; Connie (Bill) Miller, of Des Moines, Iowa; Keith (Teresa) Cooper, of Oak Grove, Missouri; and Gloria Maas, of Grand River, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters: Loreen (George) Wilde-Seely, of Osage; and Darlene (Walter) Smith and Barbara Barkhuff, of Austin.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; one niece and one nephew; two brothers-in-law; and companion of Lynn Cooper, Delaine Wetzel.

Funeral service were held at the First United Methodist Church in Osage, Iowa, and interment was at the Osage Cemetery on Friday, February 2, 2007. Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Rev. Dr. J. Samuel Subramanian officiated.

William F. Cooper, age 78, of Osage, Iowa, died Monday, January 29, 2007, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center-Emergency Room in Osage. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Osage, with Rev. Dr. J. Samuel Subramanian officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Bill was born April 3, 1928, near Little Cedar, Iowa, the son of Frank and Ida (Jenkins) Cooper. He graduated from Little Cedar High School.
