Bernice R. Hemann, age 71, of Osage, Iowa, died on Thursday April 12, 2007 at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center - Emergency Room, in Osage.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, with Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Osage.

Bernice was born on July 30, 1935, near Arcadia, Wisconsin, the daughter of Hubert and Martha (Shank) Marsolek.

She was united in marriage to Clem Hemann on August 29, 1959, in Winona, Minnesota. They lived in Mitchell County their entire married life. Bernice was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Guild in Osage.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by two brothers: James and Richard Marsolek; and by two brothers-in-law: Jerome Michels and Eugene Hemann.

Bernice is survived by her husband, Clem Hemann of Osage; by one son, Craig Hemann of Osage; by two sisters: Ethel (Bob) Hippe of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Elvina (James) Sande of Faribault, Minnesota; by two brothers: Robert (Carol) Marsolek of Rochester, Minnesota, and Gerald (Dawn) Marsolek of Lake Elmo, Minnesota; brothers and sisters-in-law: Vincent (Irene) Hemann of Riceville, Iowa, Sally Michels of Austin, Minnesota, Donna Hemann of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Gervis (Nancy) Hemann of Riceville, Iowa, Evelyn (Albert) Landherr of Austin, Minnesota, Belle (Bernard) Spitz of Osage; and by 52 nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were by Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, Iowa -- (641) 732-3706.
