Well Known Stacyville Resident Dies Suddenly
John Heimerman Passes Away in Fond du Lac, Wis.
One of Stacyville's older residents, John Heimerman, died Saturday evening at Fond du Lac, Wis. where he was taken ill with pneumonia on the way to visit relatives. He was born July 15, 1850.
On Jan. 25, 1876, he married Katherine Wagner at Johnsburg, Wis. They went to the Stacyville community in the fall of 1878 and bought a farm where they lived for ten years. They lived there until 1888, when they bought a house in Stacyville and moved to town.
In 1889 they returned to the farm where they lived until 1908, when they moved back to Stacyville. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in January, 1920. Besides his wife, four children survive: Mrs. Joseph Weber of Alta Vista, and Kathie, Mike and Anton, all of Stacyville.
Funeral services were held this morning at Visitation church, and burial made in that cemetery.
