Andy was born in St. Ansgar, Iowa on March 3, 1911, to Nina Fernettie McHenry Lund and Adolph Lund. He died in Arizona, on October 9, 2006. A memorial service was held on October 19, 2006 at the Sun Lakes Community Church, Sun Lakes, Arizona.
Andy graduated from high school in 1929 and the Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland, Ohio in 1933.
He married Laura Beatrice Kittleson, daughter of Charles E. and Amelia Johnson Kittleson, on October 6, 1934 in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1937, they moved to Sturgis, South Dakota where they owned and operated "Lund's Bakery" from 1937 to 1967.
Prior to moving to Sun Lakes, Arizona in 1976, Andy and Laura were members of Grace Lutheran Church in Sturgis, South Dakota. While in Sun Lakes, he was a charter member of Sun Lakes Community Church. Andy enjoyed golf, water skiing, snow skiing, woodworking, drawing, and painting.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura in 1999 and by his parents, and a sister, Iola Morgan.
He is survived by his son, Larry Lund (wife Marilyn) of Salida, Colorado; daughter Laurie Hansen (husband Gary) of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren Lindsey Lund and Erika Lund Keady of Salida, Colorado, Rhonda Bakker Smole (husband John) of Tehhachapi, California, and Rodney Hansen of Mesa, Arizona; great-grandchildren Brittney and Tyler Bakker of Tehachapi, California; and several nieces and nephews.
