JOHNSBURG - Wilfred J. Klapperich, 75, of Johnsburg, died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee.

He was born June 3, 1928, in Meyer, Iowa, to Bernard and Rose (Weber) Klapperich. He married Estelle Hiller on July 8, 1952, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where he was an usher for many years, and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Keith (Janet) Klapperich of Johnsburg, Everett (Debbie) Klapperich of Racine, Wis., and Loren (Susan) Klapperich of Johnsburg; a daughter, Beth Klapperich; four grandchildren, Stephanie, James, Everett Jr. and Matthew; four brothers, Lawrence, Leo, Carl and Norbert; and a sister, Mary.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John, Fred and Isadore; and a sister, Hildegard.

The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. Prayers will be said at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, at the funeral home before the 11 a.m. funeral Mass is celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg. The Rev. Everett Hiller will officiate.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist School or to the American Heart Association.
