LYLE, MINN. -- Elizabeth M. ``Betty'' Rohne, 75, of Lyle, a longtime area farm homemaker, died Tuesday evening (June 9, 1992) at her home.
Born Elizabeth M. Tesch on Jan. 26, 1917, in Toeterville, Iowa, she married Melvin Rohne on March 12, 1938, in Toeterville and they farmed in the Lyle area all their married lives.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Esther (Mrs. Gefferd) Sparks of Sargeant and Edith Hastings of La Crescent; a son, Harold of Lyle; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Otto Tesch and Rudolph Tesch, both of St. Ansgar, Iowa; and five sisters, Matie Torney, Agnes Decklever and Elsie Decklever, all of Osage, Iowa, Margaret (Mrs. Vernon) Murphy of St. Ansgar and Mathilda (Mrs. Jim) Olson of Horseshoe Bend, Ark. A brother preceded her in death.
The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Six Mile Grove Lutheran Church in Lyle, with the Rev. Harold Luecke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and an hour before the service at the church.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
