Obituary
Alma B. {Rosetta} {Allie}, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. {G.} Munson, was born Feb. 1, 1860, and departed this life on May 23, 1938. She had not been well for some years and a series of light strokes finally completed her life span. She was 78 years, 3 months and 22 days of age.
She was united in marriage with B. {R.} Beebe on Dec. 15, 1883. Their life was spent in and near McIntire. Mr. Beebe died Dec 18, 1915. Since that time Mrs. Beebe had lived in McIntire until her health failed. Then her sisters cared for her: Mrs. George Waters during the winter, and Mrs. Etta Anderson during the summer.
Mrs. Beebe united with the Congregational church in McIntire and was an ardent member and worker in the church. Ladies' Aid and Sunday school. When that church was disbanded she transferred her loyalty and labor to the Methodist church and was an active member until sickness prevented.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and will be missed in that order.
One brother, A. T. Munson preceeded her in death. There are left one brother, George, of Plentywood, Mont. two sisters Mrs. Emma J. Waters of Waukon, and Mrs. Etta M. Anderson of McIntire, besides nieces and nephews and many friends to mourn her departure.
Funeral services were held at the home of her sister, Mrs. Anderson and the M. E. church in McIntire, Wednesday, May 25, at 2 p. m., conducted by the pastor, the Rev. F. M. Garrett. The Order of Eastern Star held its beautiful ritual services at the church. A message of comfort in song was brought by Miss Wanda Ott and Miss Mable Kristiansen, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Martha Harshbarger. The Rev. J. Priestly, of Riceville, pronounced the benediction at the grave. Interment was in the Wayne cemetery.
