Funeral services for Charlotte Wentworth, 76, of Marble Rock, Iowa, who died on April 27 in a Green Bay, Wisconsin hospital, were held May 2, 1983 at the United Methodist church in Marble Rock, Iowa, with the Rev. Carroll Robinson officiating.
Charlotte Lisetta Kleinwort was born on December 26, 1906 on a farm near Carpenter, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Emma (Sefert) Kleinwort. After graduating from St. Ansgar high school in 1925, she attended Cornell College and graduated from the University of Iowa.
On July 30, 1929 she married Laydon Wentworth; and two sons were born to them.
Mrs. Wentworth had served on the city council, school board, and library board; and at the time of her stroke, in March of last year, she was eerving on the senior citizens committee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother, Sherwin.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Alan F. Wentworth and his wife, Ruth of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and her son, Dean (Bill) Wentworth of Marble Rock, Iowa; also four grandchildren.
Relatives attending the funeral of Charlotte Wentworth were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Tesch, Mrs. Shirley Fossey, and Mr. and Mrs. R.F. Kleinwort of St. Ansgar; Gladys Bowles of Athens, Georgia; Mr. and Mrs. H. Allen Boerjan; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kleinwort, and Mr. and Mrs. James Kleinwort of St. Ansgar; and Steve Kleinwort of Ames, Iowa.
