The death of Mary Boekemeier 30, is indeed a tragedy to Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Boekemeier, who live near Orchard.

She was the third of their children, all of whom were grown, to die from the same cause--poison in the blood stream, following operation for appendicitus.

The first death was that of a son, Lawrence, 19 when the famiy lived near Waterloo; the second was two years ago when a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Covey died at a Rochester hospital to which she had been taken after developoment of the complication following an operation.

Mary died last Saturday at the University hospital, Iowa City from the same cause after weeks of illness.

Mary had a good secretarial position in Minneapolis until last summer, when she gave up her work and came home to help because of her mother's poor health. She had planned to resume her position the first of the year, but was stricken about two weeks before Christmas.

Surviving, besides the parents are a sister, Mrs. Edward Ausbury, of Minneapolis, and her brothers, Hubert and William at home.

The funeral was held Monday morning at Sacred Heart church in Osage with burial in the Osage Catholic cemetery.
