Funeral Services for Robert H. Andersen, 46, of Aurora, Illinois, who died December 4, 1983, in Yorkville, Illinois, were held December 7 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aurora, Illinois, with the Rev. Arlan H. Brandt officiating and December 9, 1983, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar, Iowa, with the Rev. Norman Betke officiating.

Robert H. Andersen was born May 19, 1937 in Grand Island, Nebraska, the son of Jay W. and Thelma (Marks) Andersen. He received his B.A. degree from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and his B.S. in Engineering from the University of Iowa, Iowa City. He was a Professional Registered Engineer. He was employed by the Illinois State Dept. of Public Health in Springfield, Illinois. from 1963 to 1968; Crawford, Murphy and Tilly, Consulting Engineers in Springfield and Aurora from 1968 to 1982; and was associated with McDonough Associates, Inc. in Chicago until his death.

Mr. Andersen was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aurora and several professional engineering societies.

He is survived by his wife, Janice (the former Janice Dieterich of St. Ansgar) of Aurora; one daughter, Jennifer Andersen of Aurora; one son, Randall Andersen of Aurora; his parents, Jay W. and Thelma Andersen of Muscatine,Iowa; one brother, Richard Andersen of Muscatine; two nieces and two nephews and several aunts and uncles.

Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran cemetery here, with Rev. Betke in charge of the committal services.
