Funeral services for Alden Robert Crooks, age 65, of Rudd, were held Monday, April 10, 2006, at the Eden Presbyterian Church, Rudd, Iowa, with Rev. John Bates officiating.

Burial was at the Sunnyside Memory Gardens Cemetery in Charles City. Alden died Friday, April 7, 2006, at his home in rural Rudd.

Alden was born July 27, 1940, at Charles City, the son of Robert and Eva Mae (Rudebeck) Crooks.

Alden is survived by his wife, Dorothy Retterath Crooks of Rudd; four children, Robert (Michelle) Crooks, Cheryl (Michael) Hathcock, Angela (Kirk) Nanke, and Jennifer Crooks; and nine grandchildren.
