Miss Julia Margaret Montague and Mr. Mark H. Blankenheim were married Monday at 10 o’clock at Riceville at the Immaculate Conception church by Rev. O’Brien.
They were attended by Miss Josephine Montague, sister of- the bride, and Mr. Ray Blankenheim, brother of the groom.
Immediately after the ceremony the near relatives gathered at the bride’s parent’s home to enjoy the wedding dinner together.
The bride wore a gown of white lace over messaline and a white hat. The bridesmaid wore a light blue taffeta gown and blue bat. The bride’s traveling suit was brown with hat to match.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Montague, of Riceville. She is a charming young woman raised in a good home and well able to bring happiness into the home of the man she has honored with her hand.
The groom is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Blankenheim of this city. He has been employed at the G. M. Bailey furniture store for several years and recently made arrangements to open a new furniture store at Ossian. He comes from one of the county’s very finest families and is a splendid, progressive young man.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Blankenheim will have the sincere and best wishes of the groom’s many friends in this county.
The newly wedded couple left on the afternoon train for Dubuque and Rockford and will be at home to their many friends after Feb 15, at Ossian, Ia.— New Hampton Tribune.
