TESTAMENT
“Carpenter July 8, 1888” “ As my days are about to come to an end I must make my testament. I am the owner of a piece of timberland down by Deer Creek namely, 18 ˝ acres which shall remain the property of me and my wife as long as we live and after the death of the last living of us it shall belong to my two sons-Ole the older shall have his part on the East side of the Railroad track, and Ole the younger shall have his part on the West side of the Railroad track. But while we live we are to have our necessary fire-wood out of the timber which they shall furnish as well as for their own use.

But after the death of the longest living, it shall be absolutely their property. In witness mine and my wife’s hand. But on conditions that each one cut on his own part of timber.”
