MOSHER, TABOR

Edgar T. Mosher came in 1870 to Douglas township and bought 120 acres, which is now well improved, and upon which he has built a fine frame house. He was born near Buffalo, N. Y., May 28, 1846. When seven years old his father died. He then went to live with William B. Tabor, of Racine Co., Wis. He worked on the farm and went to the district school. In 1867, he clerked in a store, then farmed two years, at which time he came to Iowa. He married Ursula Tabor, a native of Wiscosin, Nov. 10, 1867. They have four children – Lydia L., Alma L., Elmer E. and Mary. The family are members of the Methodist church. He has been school director two terms.
