He served as Supt. of the church Sunday School and worked otherwise in the church. Agnes was a long time member of the Ladies Aid, sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School. Both were active Methodist Episcopal Church Members. They retired in 1938 from farming and moved to Little Cedar.

Henry died on March 3, 1943 and Agnes died December 22, 1966.

During this time in history - 1900-1940 or so - they and other farmers raised a little of everything, didn't put everything in one basket so to speak. They raised hogs and cattle for meat, had cows for milk and to sell cream, raised chickens for eggs and meat to sell for income. They raised oats and corn and had clover hay and timothy for livestock feed.

Henry Milton bought and shipped horses to a buyer in Milwaukee, WI to be used on dray wagons to haul freight in the city before trucks and pickups were used. Some farmers raised acres of potatoes. They were loaded into the Great Western railroad cars in Little Cedar and shipped to Chicago, Illinois and some were sold locally to the Osage Cleveland Hotel and other restaurants in the county.
