W. H. Page, present township clerk; settled in Lincoln township in 1867, buying land on section 13, situated on the banks of Spring creek. In 1873 he bought a lot in Orchard, upon which he erected a house, and where he makes his home. He is a native of Sangerfield, Oneida Co., N. Y., born Sept. 26, 1843. He was reared on a farm, but received a good education. He was married Oct. 29, 1865, to Sophia Weaver, a native of Moorehouse, Hamilton Co., N. Y. In 1867 they came to Iowa, locating on their present farm. He takes an interest in town affairs, and has filled various offices of trust to the satisfaction of citizens.
