Mrs. Ed Lambert was Sallie Howarth as a girl, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Howarth who came from Illinois and were early settlers in this part of Mills County.

They owned the farm six miles south of Glenwood where she was born and where she lived all her life and met her tragic death in a cyclone last Sunday.

She was born on August 14, 1873, and was about 40 years old. Aside from her husband and son Wendell, her nearest surviving relatives are two sisters; Mrs. Mollie Brohn, in a hospital at Omaha, and Mrs. A. F. Seeger in Texas. Mrs. Brohn was unable to come to the funeral, but Mrs. Seeger arrived yesterday.

Mr. and Mrs. Lambert were married March 27, 1900, thirteen years ago today. So that her funeral comes on the anniversary of her wedding day. Their son Wendell is about 12 years old.

Their daughter Bertha was born on Easter Sunday nine years ago, and it was on an Easter Sunday she departed this life.
