George W. Croson

George W. Croson was born in West Virginia Aug. 11, 1837, and died at Pacific Junction Jan. 4, 1906, aged 68 years, 4 months and 23 days. He came to Iowa in 1866 and after a residence of 3 years moved to Missouri where he resided until 1890, then moved back to Mills County where he has since resided. His fatal illness began about 4 years ago when he began to become paralyzed. He was taken to his bed over 5 months ago where he has remained patiently awaiting the end. He united with the U.B. church about 8 years ago and remained faithful to the end. He is survived by a wife and six children. The funeral was held Friday at 12 o'clock at the Pacific Junction Methodist church, conducted by Rev. Prather. Burial in the Godsey cemetery.
