Mrs. Minnie McCoy received word last week of the death of her brother, Frank H. Schappel, of Wichita, Kansas. He was the son of an early pioneer family, Andrew and Christina Schappel. He was born and reared in Glenwood and vicinity, until he was employed with the Rock Island railroad. He had been in failing health the last few years and was 83 years old at the time of his death.
