J.C. Spidell of Pacific Junction Died on Saturday

Funeral Services for One of Pacific Junction's Veteran Residents Held in Church There Monday Afternoon

Pacific Junction, Ia., July 21, Special Correspondence---J.C. Spidell, 73, one of Pacific Junction's oldest residents, passed away at his home here Saturday afternoon, July 19, after an illness of several weeks duration. He was born and reared near Bartlett, Ia., and has been enployed as mail carrier at the post office for several years.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Milo Brink, Creston, Mrs. Don Minner, Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Harold Campbell, Nodaway; four sons, Glen, Aurora, Ill., Franklin, Woodstock, Ill., Faye, Plattsmouth, Neb., and Dale, at home.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev. George Durkee in charge, assisted by Rev. Ralph Fagan and Rev. Charles Aitken. The Raynor funeral home of Glenwood directed the service. Burial was made in the Glenwood cemetery.
