Another one of Emerson's residents passed away late Sunday afternoon when Mrs.Ida Steen, 85, died. She was born in Ulster county, New York and was the daughter of Sherman and Mary Allen.

She taught school for a number of years. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Emerson Women's Relief Corps.

She leaves to mourn her passing a sister, Alice Keller, of Bloomville, N.Y., a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held yesterday at the Methodist church at 2:30 p.m.
