Prominent Mineola Resident Passes

H.F. Kruse, 72, one of Founders of Mineola Bank, Died Suddenly Following Short Illness. Funeral Held Monday.

Funeral services were held this Monday afternoon for Henry Kruse, 72, lifelong resident of Mills county and one of its most prominent citizens. Mr. Kruse was taken ill Friday evening at his home in Mineola and removed at once by ambulance to a Council Bluffs hospital where he passed away at five o'clock Saturday morning. He was vice-president of the Mineola State Bank which he had helped to found in 1903 and was actively engaged in the grain and coal business in Mineola which he had conducted for the last 40 years.

Services were held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the James Funeral Home in Glenwood and at 2:30 o'clock at the Mineola Lutheran Church by the pastor, Rev. O.C. Bierman.

Mr. Kruse is survived by two sons, L.F. Kruse of the Mineola State Bank, and F.H. Kruse of Laurens; three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Campbell and Mrs. Flora Boehner of Malvern and Mrs. Amelia Winn of Des Moines; two brothers, C.H. Kruse of Silver City and L.H. Kruse of Lincoln, Nebr.; a half brother, Herman Kruse of Glenwood, and a half sister, Mrs. Meta Miller of Glenwood.
