September 21, 1942George C. Wolfe Passed Away Saturday
George C. Wolfe, 78, born in Cook County, Ill., passed away Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.F. Hartman. Mr. Wolfe had lived in Glenwood 40 years and was an active member of the Congregational church, the I.O.O.F. and W.O.W. lodges. His funeral was held this Monday afternoon in the James Funeral Chapel, conducted by Dr. F.W. Long, and burial was made in Glenwood cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Ella, one daughter, Nettie Hartman, and two grandchildren, E.F. Hartman, Jr., of Glenwood and Mrs. Cleva Issacson of York town.
