Funeral services for Lowell Hastie, 69, of Glenwood were held Friday, April 22, at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. The Rev. Robert Olsen officiated, with burial in the Waubonsie Cemetery.

Mr. Hastie passed away April 19 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.

He was born October 11, 1918, in Sidney. He was a farmer and a longtime resident of Mills County.

Survivors include his wife Ruby of Glenwood; four daughters, Carole Study of Randolph, Lila Green of Glenwood, Judy Best of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Janet Wyant of Glenwood; five sons, Keith, Dale, Joe, Duane and John, all of Glenwood; two stepsons, Dallas Benedict of Anchorage, Alaska, and Richard Benedict of Seminole, Fla.; four sisters, Leita Coan of Council Bluffs, June Reed of Sidney, Wynona Chaney of Carson, and Helen Hensley of Kansas City, Mo.; 34 grand-children and 19 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dean Dusenberry was the pianist at the funeral services. Pallbearers were Richard Hastie, Douglas Hastie, Dwight Hastie, Donald Green, Karl Hastie and Jason Study.
