Following are some particulars of the life of James M. Judkins, whose death was reported in the last Tribune.

He was born In Hancock County, Indiana, October 22, 1885, and died at Arnold, Neb., September 8, 1913, being nearly 80 years of age.

He was married to Frances Lidgett at Council Bluffs, Iowa, October 22, 1859, and they settled near Glenwood in 1868. Eight children were born to them two died in infancy. His wife survive him and also six children and one sister, Mrs. Irene O’Donald of Greenfield, Indiana. All were present at his funeral except his sister, who was not able to come. He also leaves thirty-six grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

He was converted and united with the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in 1881 and lived a consistent Christian until his death, and was a great Bible student. He was a loving husband and a kind father.

He moved to Arnold, Neb., in 1897, and resided there the remainder of his life. He had been in poor health for a number of years, and was a great sufferer for several months, but bore his suffering patiently. He was conscious until the last moments of his life.

The six living children are as follows: Mrs. P.F. Phifer, Arnold, Neb; W.H. Judkins, Arnold, Neb; Rev. J. F. Judkins, Grand Island, Neb; Mrs. C.J. Davis, Arnold, Neb; Mrs. J.J. Hutchens, Banks, Oregon; Mrs. R.E. Williams, Stapleton, Neb.

Services were held in the Arnold Baptist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. H.O. King, assisted by Rev. Gettys, pastor of the M.E. church.

The church was filled to overflowing which showed the great esteem with which he was held by the people of Arnold.
