June 16, 1908

Mary Jane Fraly was born near Trenton, Mo., March 14, 1841, and died June 6, 1908. Her parents moved from Missouri to Bloomfield, Iowa, when she was a child, and she lived there until grown to womanhood, when she came to Mills county and made her home with an uncle.

She married Gideon DeBolt at Corning March 16, 1877. After their marriage they continued to live in Mills county until eight years ago, when they moved to Macedonia, which has since been their home.

Mrs. DeBolt was the mother of six children, Alta M., Charles A., Ollie M., Luella, Merritt G., and Archie.

Mrs. DeBolt united with the Christian church at Bloomefield when 16 years of age. Two years later she became a member of the Methodist church, and on coming to Mills county transferred her membership to the Wesley Chapel Methodist church, which was her church home when called from labor to reward.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Macedonia June 9 at 3, conducted by Rev. C.F. Chambers of Griswold, and was attended by a large circle of friends and relatives. The floral offerings were very beautiful.
