Ben Pool Passed Away.

Mr. A. Utterback received word yesterday that Ben Pool had died at the asylum in Clarinda. Some months ago, it will be remembered, he seemed partly out of his mind at times, he was careless of dress and of his own personal comforts, and he was persuaded to go to Clarinda.

He was a soldier in civil war and was about 70 years of age. Funeral and burial will probably be made at Clarinda.

B. Pool

Mention was made last week of the death at Clarinda of Benoni Pool. The remains were brought to Malvern for burial. Mr. Pool was born in Illinois in 1840. July 31st, 1863, at the age of 23, he enlisted in the 4th Iowa battery light artillery and was discharged July 14, 1865 at Davenport, Iowa. He died Feb. 19th, 1913.
